Fully Qualified and Insured.
I was born in the Netherlands and moved to Scotland in 1999. I relocated to Worksop in September 2013.
A Qualified General Nurse since 1995 (practising until Nov 2016), I also hold a Master's Degree in Health Science, and have experience and deepened knowledge of Health Promotion and giving life-style related advice.
I have worked in Field- and Clinical Trial Research, and went back to Nursing after having my first child in 2003, following a redundancy. It allowed me to work flexible hours around childcare. I had my second child in 2005, and once they were both school-going, I followed my passion ~ my WHY of doing what I do ~ which is helping the self and others in a caring and rewarding way; to focus on creating awareness within the (local) community to promote preventative healthcare, happier and healthier lives, and taking responsibility for our own wellbeing. I became a qualified and fully insured Reflexologist in April 2012, and started my own Practice.
My personal journey, since starting with Reflexology (2012) and consciously working with subtle energies and the meridian system (the energy pathways that let life-force (Chi) flow throughout our bodies), now includes Usui Reiki 1st and 2nd Degree (2013), Indian Head Massage (2014), Swedish Body Massage (2016), Light Touch Reflex Therapy (2017), Animal Reiki (2018), Seated Acupressure Massage (2018), Facial Reflexology (2018), EFT Tapping (2019) and Chakradance™ (2019/2020). I also work with Crystals during reiki sessions.

An holistic approach to health means ‘considering your life as a whole’, including diet and exercise, so that you are not only looking at the symptoms of your ailment(s), but are also discovering the cause(s). Ask yourself what worries and stresses you have and how do they affect your health? Then consider the following; "do I eat a healthy diet?’ Am I aware of aches and pains, digestive problems, disturbed sleep? Am I getting enough exercise?" And how is your attitude to life in general affected? All these factors could be having an impact on you and contributing to the source of your problem.
I do acknowledge that there is no doubt that modern medicine has contributed greatly to the improvement of health care. For example, prior to the advent of penicillin, disease epidemics were devastating. Surgery is another wonder of modern technology that provides impressive and life-saving treatment for numerous conditions. But this is not the only answer. As the object of both orthodox and alternative medicine is to cure disease and be of assistance to the human race, the most positive prognosis would be that both recognise their place in health care and work together for the benefit of all. The best complementary therapies and alternative medicine, combined with the finest in technological medicine, would be a great breakthrough in health care. To quote a World Health Organization report: "For too long traditional systems of medicine and 'modern' medicine have gone their separate ways in mutual antipathy. Yet are not their goals identical - to improve the health of mankind and thereby the quality of life? Only the blinkered mind would assume that each has nothing to do with the other".
"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves'
'To be peaceful is to be free from expectations and to want nothing from anyone"
